I was looking for the Hot Wheels C7.R for a couple months and finally found one last night at a grocery store.

It actually wasn’t on the rack so I almost walked away but I looked down and there it was, lying on top of a Cars-themed thing.

Review: The wing should be black, the yellow paint isn’t great, and it has a weird nose the points up. Otherwise, I’m excited to add it to my office collection.

The Stingray concept racecar seemed an appropriate car to share the frame with. It’s probably still my favorite of the collection because as far as 1/64 reproductions go, it’s pretty damn good (plus it has the metal underside).

My collection still needs a C3 and a C5. I have some older C4s (from my childhood) that are in rough shape so I’d like to add a newer one.

Hot Wheels had to do this to the Aston Martin Vantage race car as well so they could go through loops and whatnot on regular Hot Wheels play tracks. +1 for kid playing-friendly, -1 for adults hoping for better model accuracy.

It must be because otherwise it would sit too low. Some of my older Hot Wheels (early 2000s) have realistic nose heights (such as my Ferrari P4) and other sit a bit higher but aren’t bent up like on the C7.R.

Yea, as daender said, it’s so that it can go through the loops on the Hot Wheels tracks. You oughta check out the diecast sub-blog on here Live and Let Diecast . Quite a few people on there have been working on fixing the nose and painting the spoiler, etc. You should check it out if you’re in to diecasts!

Yeah I visit LALD occasionally. It’s not safe. I’m trying not to end up with hundreds of these. HAHA

Nice, I need to keep my eyes peeled. My last haul I got the regular 2014 C7 and also picked up the Corvette Grand Sport Roadster.

I’m keeping an eye out for the regular C7. Already have the Grand Sport roadster in blue. I keep seeing it in silver too but I’m happy with the blue one.
